Two arrested, marijuana seized after search
BAKER - Police arrested two people Monday after they said a search of their Baker home turned up marijuana intended for sale.
Chief Mike Knaps said police arrested Joseph Lee Chambers Jr. and Tracy Lynn Tebbe after the search around 6 a.m. at their Chamberlain Avenue residence.
Knaps said during a search of the home they found marijuana and other paraphernalia in Tebbe's purse. After she was arrested they said she told detectives more marijuana was hidden in the guest bedroom. Knaps said detectives found a large amount of marijuana in a bag belonging to Chambers, as well as a digital scale.
Investigators said Chambers told them he'd been released from prison in February and sold marijuana to supplement his income.
Detectives booked both of them into the East Baton Rouge Parish jail. Tebbe faces drug possession charges, while Chambers faces charges of possession with intent to distribute.
