Two arrested in EBR drug trafficking bust
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies arrested two people and seized drugs, guns and cash Tuesday as part of an investigation into drug trafficking in East Baton Rouge.
Deputies charged Dedrick Brown and Louise Vincent with possessing narcotics with the intent to distribute them.
EBRSO narcotics agents said they searched Brown and Vincent's apartment at 2225 College Drive after receiving reports that illegal drugs were being sold from there. During the search agents said they found roxycotin, more than half a pound of high-grade marijuana, two bottles of promethazine with codeine, and $3,810 in cash as well as pipes, scales and baggies.
Deputies also seized three handguns and ammunition from the residence.
Brown and Louise were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. Brown was given a $9,000 bond and Vincent was given an $11,500 bond.
