Two arrested in child sex trafficking case
BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge police accused two people of trafficking a child for sex online this week.
Police arrested Taniya Smith, 21, and Dominick Sims, 28, on Monday and charged them with child sex trafficking.
The arrests came after police received reports of men visiting a room at the Calloway Inn on Mead Road for short periods of time. Investigators said they made contact with a 16-year-old female there who admitted she was performing sex acts for the men.
Police said Smith and Sims posted on ad online to arrange the meetings.
