Two arrested in Ascension Parish sting operation
GONZALES - Sheriff's deputies arrested two convenience store clerks in Ascension Parish during a sting opertion targeting underage alcohol sales.
Major Kevin Hanna said Christopher Butler, 27, and Danny Nguyen, 18, both of Baton Rouge were arrested in separate incidents Wednesday night after selling alcohol to a minor.
Detectives had a 17-year-old try to buy alcohol at several stores along the east and west banks of Ascension Parish.
The sting operation included members of the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office and Louisiana Alcohol and Tobacco Control agents.
