HAMMOND - Deputies arrested two people in Tangipahoa Parish after a break in a 10-year-old murder investigation.

David Morris, 39, and Karen Birch, 33, are charged with the murder of Debbie Ann Lindsey. She was found stabbed to death in a wooded area near her Amite home on March 13, 2003.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's office reopened the case last month after investigators said new witnesses came forward, linking Morris and Birch to the murder.

Both are charged with second-degree murder.
