Two arrested after bank robbery, shopping spree
BATON ROUGE - Sheriffs deputies arrested two people accused of robbing an East Baton Rouge bank last week.
Deputies arrested 40-year-old Cedric T. Robillard Jr. And his girlfriend 38-year-old Lashonda Hawkins Wilson at their home Thursday. They're accused of robbing the Chase bank on Siegen Lane last Friday, Jan. 16.
Investigators said they received several calls identifying Robillard as the bank robber, and his girlfriend admitted to authorities she drove the getaway car after the heist. Detectives said she also admitted they made off with almost $4,000 in cash and went shopping at Tanger outlet mall.
Both will be booked into parish prison and charged with first degree robbery.
