Two arrested after armed robbery near LSU

BATON ROUGE - Police arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery south of the LSU campus early this morning.

Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said Baton Rouge Police, with the assistance of LSU Police, arrested Jasmine Williams, 24, and Justin Pierson, 24, of Brusly today.

McKneely said the two are accused of robbing two other people at gunpoint on the 4000 block of Nicholson. They took off in a gray car, which was found and stopped near East McKinley and Tennessee Street.

Police booked Williams and Pierson in the parish jail in suspicion of armed robbery.
