Two accused of dealing drugs in Asc. Parish
PRAIRIEVILLE - Sheriff's deputies accused two men in Ascension Parish of dealing drugs Thursday, after deputies said they caught them with multiple illegal substances.
Narcotics detectives said they stopped a suspicious vehicle after it failed to use a signal. After a search of the vehicle detectives said they found at least $900 worth of marijuana and marijuana products, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms.
Sheriff's detectives arrested and charged both the driver, 20-year-old Michael Costa, and the passenger, 21-year-old Brandon Lea, with drug possession with intent to distribute. Detectives also cited Costa for failure to use a signal.
Authorities booked both Costa and Lea into the Ascension Parish Jail, where they are currently awaiting bond.
