Turning scraps into household staples
BATON ROUGE - A do-it-yourself expert dressed up a bed stool, showing how to make household staples from scraps.
According to Julie Laperouse, sprucing up your kids' ordinary bed stool only takes some fabric and twine or ribbon.
For the top of the bed stool, Laperouse recommended covering it in fabric or painting it. After that, wrap a piece of ribbon or twine around the top of the stool. From there, Laperouse said tying more fabric around the ribbon or twine will finish the job.
