Several folks in Louisiana are opting out of the traditional Thanksgiving meal and looking forward to the Southern favorite called Turducken.
The triple stuffed bird, usually made of a chicken stuffed in a duck stuffed in a turkey, has specialty stores working overtime to crank out enough for waiting customers. Some people say buying a prepared turducken makes Thanksgiving cooking easier.
"A lot of people don't know how to carve a turkey," said Chad Clark with Chris' Specialty Meats, "When you get a turducken, once it's done, baked in the oven, you can slice it and you have your meats and your dressings all done."
Local meat stores estimate they'll sell at least 3,000 Thanksgiving turkeys this holiday season.
