Tulane, La. Tech, move 2013 game to Thursday night
RUSTON - Louisiana Tech officials say they've been advised by Conference USA that the Bulldogs' 2013 home game against Tulane has been moved up two days to Thursday, Sept. 12, to accommodate a national television broadcast.
Officials say the kickoff time and network will be announced later.
The game will feature the first meeting between the Bulldogs and Green Wave in which both are Conference USA teams. It will also be Tech's first game within its new conference after opening next fall at North Carolina State and at home against Lamar.
Louisiana Tech is leaving the Western Athletic Conference this summer.
Tulane and Tech both are slated to play home games the Saturday before they meet, meaning both teams will have similar time in to prepare for their Thursday night meeting.
