Four World Cup games were in action today. Tournament host South Africa was first in action defeating France 2-1. However despite the victory, South Africa became the first host nation to be knocked out of the World Cup during the group stage.

In game 2, Uruguay edged a win out against Mexico 1-0. Both of these teams from Group A will advance to the knockout rounds.

Argentina finished the group stage undefeated after defeating Greece 2-0. They're set to square off against Group A runner-up Mexico in their second round game.

South Korea also secured their advance from Group B with a 2-2 draw against Nigeria. Group A winner Uruguay awaits them in the next round.
