As the pattern transitions today, warm and humid conditions early will allow afternoon clouds to bubble into scattered showers and thunderstorms. Action will be most likely on a line from McComb to Baton Rouge and points to the northwest. Prior to any rainfall, highs should top out in the middle 80s. Scattered showers and rumbles of thunder will linger tonight with a sticky low temperature near 70°.
