BATON ROUGE- Louisiana State Police Troopers are still searching for two trusties who drove off the grounds of the LSP Compound Friday.

The Dodge van the men left the compound in was found over the weekend. Inside, investigators recovered the green issued clothing that the inmates wore.

Darian Peirce and Ricky Wedgeworth were serving time for armed robbery and attempted murder.

"Detectives have been working through the night and through the weekend since this came up," Trooper Russell Graham said. "We're working real close with US Marshals task force."

Investigators believe the pair could be in Mississippi, Tennessee or Louisiana. The big question is how could this happen.

Troopers say that is still under investigation, however, they have not ruled out that the pair received help from law enforcement personnel.
