Trump win could be a win for La. printing company
LAFAYETTE - The Trump victory may likely be a win for Louisiana-based Ace Specialties; the local company that's made millions of dollars from orders of Trump merchandise.
Ace Specialties, located in Lafayette, provided T-shirts and hats with the now iconic catch phrase "Make American Great Again" to the Trump campaign. Campaign finance records filed this summer showed the campaign spent at least $4.7 million on merchandise ordered by the company.
The owner of the printing company, Christl Mahfouz, has not discussed the campaign's business with hers until now. In January, Mahfouz took WBRZ inside the operation. Watch for an exclusive report on WBRZ News 2 at 10:00 on Wednesday, January 25th.
Mahfouz is a member of the charitable foundation connected to Trump's son, Eric.
Mahfouz attended U.L. Lafayette and founded the business in 2007. Before its parlay into presidential politics, Ace Specialties' focus was on printing needs for business in the oil and gas industry.
The hat sells for $25.00 on the Trump campaign website.
