Trump: I'm taking Miss USA to Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE- Donald Trump confirmed on network television Thursday morning, the Miss USA pageant will be hosted by the Capital City in June.
Hours earlier, the Internet swarmed with details about the event after a blogger posted it on his Twitter page.
L'Auberge, in the southeast area of East Baton Rouge Parish, will be the center of the event.
Later Thursday, the mayor is expected to release more details. In an email from Kip Holden's office Wednesday, staffers said Holden will "announce that Baton Rouge will host a major live entertainment event this year" at 9 a.m. Thursday.
