Truckers hauling hazardous materials ignoring traffic law
BATON ROUGE- Truckers hauling hazardous materials are ignoring a law that is meant to keep people safe in an emergency.
Bluebonnet, between Burbank and Nicholson, was designated a route free of hazardous materials fourteen years ago. But, WBRZ News 2 cameras caught truckers, hauling hazardous materials, disobeying the designation.
Watch the attached video for more on what neighbors had to say and what one company told the WBRZ Investigative Unit when its truck was caught driving down the street.
State Police are keeping an extra close eye on the popular roadway now.
