Trucker ticketed in rig crash
CLINTON - The driver of a lumber truck was ticketed after a nasty crash Tuesday.
State Police said a Netterville Lumber truck collided with a Department of Transportation and Development dump truck on Highway 61 at the Thompson Creek Bridge. The lumber truck pushed the DOTD truck from behind until one corner of the vehicle was hanging over the guardrail.
Both drivers had minor injuries, troopers said. The two drivers were taken to an area hospital by helicopter.
Investigators said the driver of the lumber truck was at fault, and was cited with careless operation.
