COLDSPRING, Tex. - Investigators in Texas confirmed to News 2 that a truck found there is part of the investigation into college student Mickey Shunick's disappearance from Lafayette.

An investigator with the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office said a white pickup matching the description of one sought in connection with Shunick's disappearance was found burned in their county on June 14.

The investigator said they are working with police in Lafayette, and that more information would be coming at today's scheduled 1 p.m. press conference.

Police arrested Brandon Lavergne, 33, last night in suspicion of kidnapping and murdering Mickey Shunick.  Lavergne appeared in court this morning and was assigned a public defender.

News 2's Mike Steele will have the latest developments on this case starting at 4 p.m.
