Truck driver hit on Perkins Road
BATON ROUGE- Police closed major streets after a person was hit by a car late Friday night.
Perkins was closed between Essen and Bluebonnet while emergency responders worked the scene.
A man hit a truck driver who got out of his semi on the busy street about 10:15. First responders performed CPR on the trucker before he was taken to a hospital.
"I just saw a body flip in the air," an eyewitness said.
The extent of the truck driver's injuries were not immediately available. There was also no information about any possible citations or charges related to the crash.
