Troopers Identify woman Killed in Ascension Parish Crash
ASCENSION PARISH - Troopers identified a woman killed in a crash in Ascension Parish.
Troopers say the woman is Elsa Diaz, 27, of Praireville.
Diaz was traveling on Henry Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign, and Mark Heffley, who drives a Ford F-450, collided into the woman's PT Cruiser, according to officials.
Officials report that the car held six passengers at the time of the crash, including juveniles.
Officials transported all of the juveniles to local hospitals; one of the juveniles had serious injuries while the others received minor to moderate injuries, troopers say.
Troopers say impairment of the driver is not suspected, and that Diaz was wearing a seatbelt.
