BATON ROUGE – State Police is asking for the public’s help after a trooper was hurt in a three vehicle hit-and-run in Baton Rouge Sunday.

The three vehicle crash happened around 3 p.m. on Millerville Road near Old Hammond Highway. According to Louisiana State Police, an unknown vehicle rear-ended a marked LSP police unit and a pickup truck. The driver then fled the scene and was last seen traveling westbound on Old Hammond Highway.

Police say the trooper sustained minor injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.

Troopers believe the suspect is a man driving a red or maroon Chrysler PT Cruiser or Chevrolet HHR.  The suspect’s vehicle should also have heavy front-end damage.
