NEW ORLEANS - After a three-day Thanksgiving break, a trial is set to resume for five current or former New Orleans police officers charged in a man's fatal shooting after Hurricane Katrina.
Monday will be the eighth day of testimony in the case spawned by the death of 31-year-old Henry Glover.
David Warren, a former officer charged with shooting Glover outside a strip mall in September 2005, testified last week that he feared for his life when he opened fire.
Lt. Dwayne Scheuermann and Officer Greg McRae are charged with burning Glover's body. Former Lt. Robert Italiano and Lt. Travis McCabe are charged with obstructing the federal probe.
Prosecutors rested their case last Tuesday. The trial could end later this week.
