Traffic stop leads to discovery of marijuana
ARCADIA - A state trooper stopped a car for a routine traffic violation on Interstate 20 and found more than three pounds of marijuana in the car.
The driver, 24-year-old Jamar Harris, of Cleveland, Miss., gave the trooper consent Monday to search the car and uncovered the drugs and $1,900 hidden in the vehicle.
Harris was booked on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, conspiracy to distribute and following too close.
A passenger, 23-year-old Arsenio Nelson, also of Cleveland, was also charged.
Both were transported to the Bienville Parish Jail.
