Traffic officials update interstate closures

BATON ROUGE - Louisiana traffic officials updated the condition of flood-impacted stretches of interstate in and around Baton Rouge on Wednesday.

Crews have been monitoring high water and working to quickly remove debris from roadways in the wake of recent flooding.

Here’s are the latest interstate flood closures as of 1 p.m. Wednesday:

I-10 West on-ramps between I-49 at Lafayette and LA 1111 at Crowley remain closed. Local traffic is urged to use US 190 between the Evangeline Thruway and Crowley.

I-10 West is open at Jennings (LA 26).

Local traffic is able to access I-10 East between Iowa (US 165) and Jennings (LA 26).

Motorists are still urged to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary. More than 100 state roads remain closed due to high water as of Wednesday afternoon.
