Traffic light added to campus route
BATON ROUGE - A traffic light will be added to regulate flow of vehicles coming and going from the southeast corner of the LSU campus.
Crews have started the installation of a light at the West Lakeshore and East Parker intersection. At first, it will flash yellow and red and eventually begin regulating traffic with solid traffic lights.
Currently, only a stop sign for drivers on East Parker Blvd. keeps traffic in check.
This is the second major change around the campus. Earlier this summer, the state changed the traffic light setup along Burbank. There is no longer a light at East Boyd. Instead, drivers are only allowed to make right turns and not cross the intersection.
