BATON ROUGE – Congestion cleared around 10 a.m. Wednesday after traffic officials warned that weather would bring heavier delays.

DOTD officials sent out a notification around 8 a.m. warning drivers to expect heavier than normal delays due to inclement weather. Those delays were compounded after separate accidents blocked lanes on I-10 West near College Drive and closed an entrance ramp on North 22nd Street.

The accident on near College Drive back up traffic to Essen Lane on I-10 West.

Around 10:11 a.m., DOTD sent out another notification indicating that congestion has cleared on I-10, I-110, and I-12 in the Baton Rouge area.
