Traffic backs up after I-10W crash on Miss. River Bridge
BATON ROUGE - Traffic officials closed several lanes of I-10 West on the Mississippi River Bridge following an accident Friday morning.
Traffic is currently backed up to the I-10/12 split as crews work to clear the wreckage. Shortly after 11:30 a.m., LA DOTD announced all lanes were back open.
There was also heavy congestion on the interstate in the eastbound direction with the queue backing up as far as six miles from the bridge beyond the Lobdell exit.
Check back with this story throughout the day for the latest updates on traffic. State Police are expected to release more details on the fatality later today.
