Tracy Porter hosts Thanksgiving dinner for less fortunate
PORT ALLEN- Saints cornerback and Port Allen native, Tracy Porter, hosted an early Thanksgiving dinner for less fortunate families today.
Kids and their parents enjoyed a hot plate of turkey and all the fixings at DC's Grill in Port Allen.
In addition to feeding families this holiday season, Porter also launched his Pick Six foundation aimed at mentoring and providing enrichment for underprivileged youth.
"The thing that we have to educate our kids on is that it's ok to eat what you want, but you also have to stay fit," Porter said.
This weekend is a bye-week for Porter and the Saints. Next Monday the Saints take on the New York Giants at the Superdome in New Orleans.
