BATON ROUGE - A Town Hall meeting took place Friday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church to discuss and answer questions regarding flood relief.

State Representatives Paula Davis and Ted James hosted the meeting with the Sherwood Forest Citizens Association and Crime and Improvement District.

Rep. James said it was important to keep the community informed in a time like this.

"In the wake of such devastation to our community, it is of the utmost importance that we keep our community and residents informed and have their concerns met," Rep. James said. "This is not only an opportunity for the public to receive this vital information, but also to come together in our greatest time of need."

FEMA along with other state agencies attended the meeting to share information regarding recovery for those residents in seriously affected areas. Davis said the meeting is a great way to continue sharing information and help take the next steps toward recovery.
