Tornado warning for East Baton Rouge and Livingston Parish
NEW ORLEANS- The National Weather Service says a line of severe thunderstorms is moved across south Louisiana.
The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a Tornado Warning for: Southeastern West Baton Rouge Parish in southeastern Louisiana. Southwestern East Baton Rouge Parish in southeastern Lousiaiana. Northwestern Livingston Parish in southeastern Louisiana.
The warnings are in effect until 10 a.m. this morning.
The tornado warning is in effect for the following parishes:
East Baton Rouge
West Baton Rouge
The weather service says the storms contain high winds, hail and dangerous lightning.
Tree damage has been reported in west Vernon Parish and in the Vinton area.
The weather service has issued a flash flood watch through Tuesday afternoon for southeast Louisiana.
Rainfall amounts of 2-3 inches are expected through Tuesday with isolated amounts of up to 5 inches possible.
