UPDATE: The mayor of Yazoo City says a tornado that blew through rural Mississippi has killed two people.

Mayor McArthur Straughter says the Yazoo Country coroner has confirmed the deaths.

At least three counties are cleaning up, after the 3/4-mile wide tornado ripped through west-central Mississippi.

The National Weather Service says the tornado is still making its way east towards Alabama.
