Tigers top Vanderbilt, take on Arkansas today
HOOVER, Ala. - LSU baseball wins 11-1 in seven innings, invoking the mercy run rule against the Vanderbilt Commodores in the first game of the SEC Baseball Tournament in Hoover, Ala.
LSU has now scored double-digit runs in four of their last five games. Jared Poche pitched seven innings for the Tigers, allowing one run on five hits.
"Jared Poche set the tone today... and it was just one of those days we swung the bats well," said LSU head baseball coach Paul Mainieri.
The Tigers will play again Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Central Time, facing Arkansas.
