HOOVER, Ala. - An out-of-the-park home run highlighted the Tigers' 6-2 win over Alabama Friday evening at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
The Tigers put pressure on early and held a 5-0 lead into the bottom of the seventh when the Crimson Tide put up their only runs of the game.
LSU catcher Chris Chinea put the Tigers' second run on the board with an out-of-the-park solo homer in the fourth. It's his fourth home run in four games.
The Tigers defeated Alabama 8-5 Thursday night, so Friday's win gives LSU the series. They'll go for the sweep Saturday at 3 p.m.
