Tigers strike back, lead 7-3
BATON ROUGE - After Florida took their first drive 60 yards on 14 plays to put the first score on the board, LSU responded with a scoring drive of their own.
The Tigers went nine plays and 70 yards for a touchdown score.
The final play was a JC Copeland one-yard run up the middle to pay dirt to put LSU ahead 7-3.
The drive was helped by two penalty flags, one personal foul after a long pass play to Odell Beckham Jr., the other was a pass intereference penalty in the end zone to set the Tigers up with a first-and-goal at the two yard line.
Senior quarterback Zach Mettenberger linked up with Beckham on a 25-yard pass(helped by a roughing the passer penalty) to get the Tigers inside the Florida red zone.
