The 7th ranked LSU Tigers pulled ahead of #22 Mississippi State 13-7 with just over five minutes to play in the first half.
LSU capitalized on a State turnover into points, as Zach Metttenberger connected with Jarvis Landry on the 19 yard touchdown toss. LSU scored in three plays after linebacker Lamin Barrow scooped up a Derrick Milton fumble at the State 21 yard line.
LSU fell behind early as State drove the field in ten plays on their opening possession, capping it off with a Dak Prescott pass complete to Marcus Green for the 9 yard touchdown.
