BATON ROUGE - No. 3 LSU (18-2) hosts Northwestern State (9-13) tonight to start a four-game series.

The Tigers won 12 of their last 13 games, including an SEC series win over Mississippi State last weekend.

Coach Paul Manieri said they have a lot of respect for the Demons.

"They're accustomed to facing very good competition; in fact, they've beaten Tulane and they've played Texas A&M, TCU and Oklahoma, so we're expecting to see a tough team that will be ready to play here," he said.

The game starts at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Alex Box Stadium.
