Tigers move up to No. 8, get fourth night game
BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tigers moved up to No. 8 on the NCAA College rankings and the AP Coaches' Poll Monday after their 31-0 rout of UL-Monroe.
USC and Georgia fell out of the top ten teams after both schools suffered losses Friday. Florida State remains in the number one position in both polls.
The Tigers also picked up their fourth-straight night game after the SEC announced its schedule for Sept. 27. LSU will take on New Mexico State at Tiger Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.
The Tigers will first play host to Mississippi State this Friday. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
