Head Coach Paul Mainieri had a flight scheduled this morning to south Florida for a recruiting trip. A loss last night to UNO caused the Tiger coach to cancel the trip.

"I just felt it was important today to be here with our team and try to get them into a positive state of mind as we get ready for the weekend so I canceled the trip," said Mainieri. "I'm here today. Sometimes it just takes a few hours to analyze things and put it all in proper perspective."

The Tigers are now in the middle of a four game losing streak. The team will try and get back on track this weekend in a three game series with number 6 Florida. Tiger first baseman Blake Dean says the losing streak is just a part of baseball.

"I think everyone on our team has become so accustomed to winning that it's a shocker to the world," said Dean.  "Baton Rouge is in shock right now so you just gotta calm down a little bit. It happens. My sophomore year we lost four or five in a row and then we won 23 in a row. So it's baseball, it's just how it goes."

The road to redemption starts Friday night in Gainesville. Game time is set for 7 p.m. CT, and it will be televised by CSS (Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast). Anthony Ranaudo will get the start for the Tigers.
