BATON ROUGE - National Signing Day has started off just the way Les Miles and his LSU coaching staff would have liked.

The Tigers started the day with eight players of the 2013 class already on campus as early enrollees, and the letters quickly started rolling in after that.

LSU has 25 commits just after ten in the morning, and there is word that a flip is in the works, as defensive end Tashawn Bowers was an Auburn commit, then to Florida before settling on the LSU Tigers.

His official letter of intent has yet to arrive, however local media in New Jersey has already interviewed Bowers regarding his selection.

"With the great relationship I have with the LSU coaching staff, (defensive line coach Brick) Haley, coach Miles, and everyone there, I felt really comfortable at campus," Bower told the Newark Star Ledger.

Bowers would be the 26th signee for LSU who picked up local star player Kendall Beckwith out of East Feliciana shortly after 9:30 this morning.  Beckwith played both offense and defense for the Tigers, but at LSU is expected to decide between linebacker and defensive end.

John Curtis linebacker Duke Riley was the first letter of intent to make it to the Tiger Football office this morning at 7:08 a.m..
