Tigers host last opponent before start of SEC play
BATON ROUGE - LSU hosts Nicholls State tonight at Alex Box Stadium in their last series before the Tigers head into SEC play Friday.
No. 2 LSU (15-1) has won their last ten straight games since losing 9-4 to BYU on Feb. 23. This is the second time LSU will face Nicholls State (9-8) this season; they beat the Colonels 2-0 on March 3.
Head coach Paul Manieri said he knows SEC play is right around the corner with Friday's series at Mississippi State, but that their goal right now is Nicholls State.
"We won a very tough ball game against them just a little over a week ago, so we're aware of the type of club they have. Our goal is continue to play at a high level against Nicholls and then look ahead to the weekend."
The game starts at 6:30 p.m. in Alex Box Stadium.
