BATON ROUGE - Tiger Stadium was voted best stadium in the nation in a poll by Athlon Sports released Monday.

Athlon asked 15 college football experts to cast their vote on the best college football stadiums and game day atmospheres.

LSU's Death Valley beat out other top five contenders, such as Oregon's Autzen Stadium, Kyle Field at Texas A&M and Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium.

LSU has won 31 of its last 32 games in Tiger Stadium. The Tigers only two losses in Death Valley were against teams ranked No. 1 in nation at the time - Florida on Oct. 10, 2009 and Alabama on Nov. 3, 2012.

New renovations are underway at Tiger Stadium's south endzone to increase fan seating capacity to over 100,000, and scheduled to be done in time for the upcoming football season.
