Tiger Stadium capacity will exceed 100,000
BATON ROUGE - LSU announced that Tiger Stadium's capacity will easy clear the 100k mark with the new south endzone addition.
The LSU Football facebook page says the final number will be 102,321. The previous capacity was 92,542, according to LSUSports.net.
Based on the capacity of other stadiums listed on LSU's website, the addition makes LSU the 5th largest on-campus stadium in the country, just 6 seats behind Ohio State.
The largest Tiger Stadium crowd ever recorded was 93,374 on Nov. 3rd, 2012. In that game, Alabama's AJ McCarron threw a touchdown pass in the final minute to defeat the Tigers 21-17.
