The LSU Tiger hoops team won their third game in a row and improved to 4-5 in SEC play after starting in a 0-4 hole.
The Tigers held off Vanderbilt late for the 57-56 victory taking their third SEC game in succession.
LSU only had one field goal for an eleven minute stretch in the first half, but rallied for a 16-0 run to close out the first period of play and take a 13 point lead to the locker room.
However Vanderbilt charged back in the second half and outscored the Tigers 38-26 in the second frame, falling short by a bucket late.
Rob Odom led all scorers with 20 points for the Dores, Tiger guard Anthony Hickey led LSU with 14 points on 5 of 14 shooting.
