Tiger Football home opener to air on SEC Network
BATON ROUGE - LSU's home football opener on the SEC Network is scheduled for Sept. 6 at 6:30 p.m. against Sam Houston State.
The SEC and ESPN said Thursday that the first 16 games aired on the network will include a home game from all 14 SEC football stadiums and will air a game featuring every football team in the conference within the first four weeks of the 2014 college football season
The home opener against Sam Houston State is the only LSU contest currently listed among the SEC Network lineup during the first four weeks of the season although the schedule does include two TBD games on Sept. 20 - the week of LSU's conference-opener against Mississippi State in Tiger Stadium.
The game will also be LSU's chance to show off the newly-renovated and expanded Tiger Stadium at a televised football matchup.
The Sam Houston State game will also be aired by ESPN and the league office.
