

The LSU Tiger men's basketball team may be heading to New York City for the NIT Season Tipoff championship, but they will be the walking wounded when they get there. Head coach Trent Johnson telling the media on Thursday that senior Alex Farrer is likely done for the year after surgery found loose particles in his dislocated his left kneecap. Farrer injured himself in a closed scrimmage in Houston nearly a week and a half ago.
Center Garrett Green sprained his left ankle playing basketball in a pick up game. Coach Johnson said Green was working out on the team's off day and it was not part of a scheduled activity. Green is listed as probable for the NIT game on Wednesday against Connecticut.
The Tigers take on the Huskies in Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m., the game will be televised by ESPN2.
