Tiger baseball rides longball to 7-1 win over Rebels

BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tiger baseball team belted out four home runs including a thrilling in-the-park homer from Raph Rhymes en route to the 7-1 win over the Ole Miss Rebels in game one of their three game SEC series at Alex Box Stadium on Thursday night.

Rhymes, Mason Katz, Christian Ibarra and Sean McMullen each hit a solo home run.  It was the first multiple home run game for the Tigers in over a month.

LSU will go for the series win Friday night in game two of the series against the Rebels.  First pitch in that game is scheduled for 7 p.m..
