Tiger baseball gets boost of returning players for Regional
The LSU Tiger baseball team is preparing for the start of the NCAA Regional on Friday, but Wednesday afternoon head coach Paul Mainieri shared the news that some injured players may be back in time for the first pitch.
Secondbaseman Jacoby Jones was back at practice taking ground balls and hitting at batting practice after sitting out of the SEC Tournament with a sprained wrist.
Outfielder Mark Laird also made strides in recovering from his twisted ankle according to Mainieri. Laird will be added to the teams active roster for the weekend action, however he may not play until Saturday.
