Tiger baseball beats Tennessee 8-7 with walk off winner
On a night when LSU ace Aaron Nola didn't have his best stuff, his teammates battled throughout their game against Tennessee and made the clutch hit when it counted.
LSU rightfielder Mark Laird hit a walk off RBI single to centerfield with a full count and two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Tigers the 8-7 game one win.
It's the second time Laird has hit a walk off winner in the last three weeks.
LSU rallied late in the game with single runs in the seventh, eigth and ninth innings to take the win and give themselves a chance at another SEC series win on Saturday.
First pitch in game two is set for 6:30 p.m. from Alex Box Stadium.
