Three shot, two dead in Baton Rouge domestic attack
BATON ROUGE- Three people have been shot, two killed, in an apparent domestic attack Wednesday night.
It happened in the 9000 block of Redman Lake Drive, off Hoo Shoo Too Road.
A spokesperson for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said a woman called 911 about 8:20 p.m. reporting a domestic situation. The man was heard yelling in the background.
During the call, deputies said the man shot the wife and his 29-year-old stepdaughter before turning the gun on himself.
He and the stepdaughter were killed. His wife has been rushed to an area hospital. She is reported to have serious injuries from a gunshot wound.
Names of those involved have not been released.
A WBRZ News 2 crew on the scene said District Attorney Hillar Moore has arrived on scene along with Sheriff Sid Gautreaux.
Sources said alcohol may have been a factor in the attack.
